We’re a church in Pickens, SC, where anyone can be changed by the good news of Jesus. Wherever you’re coming from in Pickens County or beyond, you’re welcome here.
In 2011, Pastor Bryan Holder was serving as Student Pastor at Marathon Church in Powdersville when he felt God calling him to plant a church in Pickens. With the support and blessing of Marathon Church and about 60 people ready to go all in, Marathon Church Pickens held its first service on October 2, 2011, at Pickens Middle School. 189 people showed up.
On January 6, 2013, the church moved to its home at 158 Woodrow Street, and attendance doubled. On September 21, 2014, we worshiped in the newly renovated building for the first time, with a record 477 people. Then on April 26, 2015, Pastor Bryan shared a vision to connect even more deeply with our town, and Marathon Church Pickens became The Mill Church.
We exist to reach people far from God. Wherever you are on the journey, you’re welcome here.
We help people live and love like Jesus through worship that lifts up His name and practical, Bible-centered messages.
We serve to meet needs in Pickens and beyond, because loving God and loving people go hand in hand.
Sundays at 9:30 and 11:00 AM. About an hour of worshiping Jesus and opening God’s Word together.
